DMCA Policy
Lightened Carrot Cake is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of others. We comply with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA and other applicable laws.
This policy describes the information that should be present in a DMCA notice, how to submit a notice, and what information should be included in a counter-notification if your content was removed in error.
Filing a DMCA Notice
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on the Lightened Carrot Cake website in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, you may notify our designated Copyright Agent by providing the following information in writing:
- An electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.
- A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, including the URL where the copyrighted work exists or a copy of the copyrighted work.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit Lightened Carrot Cake to locate the material (e.g., the URL(s) of the infringing content).
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.

Filing a DMCA Counter-Notification
If your content has been removed from Lightened Carrot Cake as a result of a DMCA notification, and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location (URL) at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Lightened Carrot Cake may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
